Piano Accompanist Loudoun County
I am a professional piano accompanist who charges for my time in learning the music, the rehearsal and performance.
I accompany for Loudoun County Solo and Ensemble Festival (DISTRICT 16). I offer special rates for Solo and Ensemble Festival. View rates.
My main instrument is piano and and my secondary instrument is flute. I obtained a Master's degree in piano pedagogy and performance as well as a Bachelor's degree in flute performance from UCLA.
A professional accompanist must factor in the cost to learn the piano accompaniment as well as the soloist's part, the cost to rehearse, drive to the performance venue and to deliver a professional public performance. I perform the entire piano score without reductions.
A piano accompanist has a huge responsibility. You must learn and memorize your piano music as well as the solo music. If the soloist skips a measure or drops a beat, your job as an accompanist is to follow the soloist. An instrumental accompanist is NOT the same as a church or choir accompanist. An instrumental accompanist requires an in-depth sensitivity to dynamics and stylistic nuances in the music. Your playing and articulation must match the soloist.
I offer professional piano accompaniment for all instruments and can also provide piano accompaniment for school choirs.
I am a piano accompanist available to accompany vocalists, woodwind, brass and string instrumentalists for rehearsals, college auditions, competitions, recitals and Loudoun County Solo and Ensemble festival.
Piano Accompanist Fees: Total fees include a cost for the rehearsal, and a separate cost for the performance. Please note that travel time and performance expertise have been factored into the rates.
